Jack Prentiss is the sheriff in Denver, Colorado. One day two gunmen hold up the bank, shoot Prentiss, one robber dies, and one robber escapes. Prentiss takes off on a chase that eventually concludes with the death of the second robber, but in unusual circumstances.
