Jake’s girl friend is a police officer in San Jose, California. A man seeking revenge, murders Penny on the street one night. This event completely tears Jake Colby’s life apart, but he lunches an investigation into Penny’s murder. One clue after another leads Colby to the man who murdered Penny. He eventually catches up with the man in an empty reservoir. Jake relentlessly pursues the man and finally comes face to face with Penny’s murderer. The man becomes mired in the mud of the reservoir. Jake has him, could stop there and let the police arrest the man, but he kills him.
