Reverend Thomas is traveling by wagon train through Wyoming Territory, bound for Oregon, when he decides to stay in Casper, Wyoming as pastor of the Casper church. The first night in Casper he has a premonition that natives attack the wagon train. He was the de facto pastor to people on the wagon train, and his premonition causes him to go in search of the wagon train to lend his help. He joins forces with a couple of prairie residents and together they continue the search. The pastor and the two prairie dwellers finally catch up with a victim and survivor of the attack. They hear that the attack was the work of the wolfmen. Now the four of them hunt the wolfmen on the prairie and the foothills of the Bighorn Basin. In the end they catch the wolfmen, they all survive, and Reverend Thomas returns to Casper. This is a Chase story with the added twist of a pastor leading the chase.
